The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 Global Innovation Index (GII) Ranking of the World’s Top 100 Innovation Clusters on 1 September 2025 at a prestigious launch event. Co-organized by WIPO and the People’s Republic of China (PRC), and hosted by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the event celebrated global excellence in innovation.

An exhibition featuring the I&T achievements of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou was set up at the venue, highlighting the region’s dynamic contributions to global innovation. We proudly showcased our pioneering innovations to an international audience from innovation clusters, industry, academia, research and investment sectors, reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a dynamic hub for research and technological advancement.
